"Just Write" In-Person

“Just Write” is an event put on by the Graduate Writing Center for graduate students from across the disciplines, especially those in the dissertation phase, to gather and work on their writing projects together.  Much like the Dissertation Writing Lab, this event will not include a speaker or organized discussion, but instead will provide a space, time, and tone that is conducive to productive individual writing. Research, from schools as diverse as Notre Dame, UConn, and West Virginia University, has shown that such events can be highly beneficial for graduate students, especially in the midst of busy semesters and schedules. Light snacks and coffee will be provided (courtesy of GSA and the Graduate School), and students will be asked to bring their own lunches.
