Laser Cut Photo Frame Workshop In-Person
In this workshop, you will learn how to use the Glowforge laser cutter in the Moody Makerspace to create your own magnetic photo frame for your home or office.
By the end of the workshop, you will:
- Be able to import designs and sequence steps using the Glowforge web app
- Understand the basics of laser cutting, including speed and power adjustments to refine your work
- Have knowledge of common materials used and what to avoid
- Know some basic functions of Inkscape (free vector design software -- similar to Adobe Illustrator)
- Have a magnetic wooden picture frame (for wallet photos sized 2.5" x 3.5") to take home with you
