Laser Engraving 101

Laser Engraving 101 In-Person

In this workshop, you will learn how to use the Epilog laser cutter in the Moody Makerspace to design and produce your own unique creations.

By the end of the workshop, you will: 

  • Be able to create designs and sequence steps using Inkscape and the Epilog Dashboard
  • Understand the basics of laser cutting, including speed and power adjustments to refine your work 
  • Have knowledge of common materials used and what to avoid 
  • Know some basic functions of Inkscape (a free vector design software similar to Adobe Illustrator)
