Want to experience what it would have been like, sitting around the piano in a family parlor on a cold winter evening, casually playing, singing, or just enjoying Christmas music in anticipation of the holiday? We’re recreating the experience on November 17th in a noontime informal musical gathering.

Third Floor of Moody Library - Arts & Special Collections Research Center

The Arts & Special Collections Research Center invites students, staff, and faculty of all abilities to gather on Moody’s third floor to experience popular Christmas songs from the late nineteenth (and early twentieth) century. You are welcome to sing, play our 1880 Chickering Square piano, or just listen and enjoy. Sheet music from the period will be provided, as well as light refreshments. As you listen, you will also be able to print your own Victorian Christmas card using a historical press from the Baylor Book Arts & Letterpress Lab.
