Maintaining Test Integrity with Canvas Quiz Settings In-Person
As the use of Canvas to deliver online tests and quizzes increases, the concern regarding academic integrity also increases. However, by utilizing a number of Canvas settings and capabilities, tests, exams and other high-stakes assessments can be designed in a way to deter cheating. In this session, we will take a closer look at Canvas test settings and features that provide additional security. These settings and features include establishing availability dates, randomizing questions and answer choices, displaying one question at a time, enabling time limitations, requiring access codes, creating question groups, question banks, and hiding test results. We will also have a brief discussion on using the Respondus LockDown browser and online proctoring services.
