Tableau Desktop I: From Data to Visual Dashboard In-Person

Location: Moody Library 104

Goal(s): The goal of this workshop is to teach participants how to create exploratory data visualizations of the 2016 Presidential election results using Tableau Desktop.

Outcomes: Participants of this workshop will be able to use Tableau Desktop to explore their data through interactive visualizations.

Description: This hands-on introduction to Tableau Desktop will guide users through a series of exercises that will cover data visualizations and interactive dashboards. Using local Texas election data, participants will create maps, scatter plots, column charts, tree maps, and packed bubbles in order to explore election voter returns and correlations with voter demographics. No experience necessary.
