Makerspace Series: 3D Printing 101 In-Person
Prerequisites: None
Learning Objective: Discover together the origins, relevance, and process of 3D printing, including a basic knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), slicing (CAM), and operating a 3D printer. Learner will design and begin printing a unique 3D object in class.
Prework:
- Create free Tinkercad account at tinkercad.com and complete startup tutorials
- Download and install Cura Lulzbot Edition (if bringing own computer)
If learner does not complete the printing process before the end of the workshop, (s)he may return during Makerspace open hours.
