We possess such immense creative power right in our hands with the cell phones we keep in our pockets and bags. The cameras that come with our mobile devices provide the opportunity to capture moments of beauty, inspiration, triumph…and horror. Especially the everyday horror that can accompany a darkened hallway in our home, a terrifying creature near our water bottle, or social horrors like telling the ticket taker at the movie theater "you too" when they say "enjoy the movie."

Learn to flex that creative power by joining the ELC in a cell phone horror film jam. Form a team of 3-5 people (can be more or less if you choose) and create a 3 minute or less horror short in 2 hours using only your cell phone, Adobe Premiere Rush, and your imagination to explore the theme; Everyday Horror. This event is open to all levels of film making knowledge and will include a lightning workshop that teaches everything you need to know about Adobe Premiere Rush to put your short film together. We'll also have a film screening of all finished (and unfinished, the horror!) entries at the end so we can enjoy the things that go bump in the night, day, and any other time our imaginations may run wild.
